Our core class is a combination of tap and ballet. Tap is one of the oldest forms of dance and ballet is the backbone of all dance training, making this the perfect combination core class. In Tap the students will learn leg/foot coordination, rhythm and timing. In Ballet the students will learn technique, flexibility and grace. Our core classes are offered starting at age three through advanced.
This class is an add on class to our core class. Jazz is the most popular form of dance it is the combination of sharp and fluid movements. In our Jazz class dancers will learn technical steps such as various turns and leaps along with endurance and stamina training.
This class is offered as an add on class or can be taken as an individual class. Hip Hop is what you typically see on TV and music videos. This class focuses on body isolations and dynamics to new pop music.

Tumbling can be added on to our other classes or it may be taken as an individual class. In tumbling the students focus on strength training and flexibility along with gymnastic and acrobatics on the floor. We offer classes beginner through advanced. Instructors will determine which level will fit the students abilities. Our Beginner classes are taught by Judy and our Intermediate and Advanced classes are taught by Coach Ben Moritz. Ben is a former MSU and Detroit Pistons cheerleader.
At Judy's School of Dance all of our classes have the opportunity to perform in our spring recital. We start our students at the age of three through adults. To be eligible for our pointe class dancers must have reached intermediate/advanced ballet level. For the safety of our dancers Miss Judy will recommend pointe shoes to students who have reached this level of ballet and have the leg, ankle and core strength necessary.
